The Roger Federer tour has reached it’s final stop across South America. After stints in Brazil and Argentina, the tour rolled into Bogota, Colombia on Saturday. The main event was an encounter between the 17 time Grand Slam winner and the world number eight Jo-Wilfried Tsonga.
The first set was evenly fought we both players holding their serves and delighting the vocal crowds with some amazing shots.The set went to a tiebreaker with Tsonga leading 5-2 before his 31-year-old opponent showed all his experience and class to come back and win the tiebreaker 8-6.
In the second set, the Frence tennis star tried hard to pull one back and force a decider...and Tsonga was able to do just that. He picked up a couple breaks to down Federer 6-2 in the second.
In the final set, Federer broke his French opponent’s serve in the sixth game and then held on to win the set and the match 7-6, 2-6, 6-3. The Swiss star, ending the multi-city Federer Tour with a victory.
