Russian President Vladmir Putin has met with his visiting Ukrainian counterpart, Viktor Yanukovych, in Moscow.
The two leaders exchanged views on bilateral relations and economic cooperation. Unkrainian President Yanukovych says the two countries will continue consultations on the disputed natural gas issue, hoping to enact a price to satisfy both sides.
The two leaders also discussed the possibility of Ukraine’s access to the Customs Union between Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Russia. Putin says Russia supports Ukraine’s desire to gain access to the Union, but that this will also be decided by the other member countries of the Customs Union.
